Who can stream DStv online?
The DStv streaming service is available to all DStv subscribers, no matter which package you are on. There is no additional fee or charge to watch DStv channels and shows online.

Which devices can I use to watch DStv online?
Our DStv app is available to certain Android devices (tablets and smartphones), some iOS devices (iPad and iPhone) and certain Huawei devices (tablets and smartphones). You can also stream DStv on desktops via our website, or the app on Android and Apple TV and selected Smart TV devices.
Android devices must be Google-certified and must be running Android version 4.4 (KitKat) or higher. You can check if your device is Google-certified by checking the Google Play Store settings.
We use the Google SafetyNet API to ensure that devices are not rooted (including factory rooted) or have a tampered boot loader. SafetyNet also ensures that the Google Play Store is supported by default on a device and the device is not running a side loaded version. We do not support side loading the DStv app on devices, the app must be installed via the play store.
For legal reasons, the DStv app is not available on uncertified Google devices. Please ensure that you are using a Google-certified device by going to Google Play Store Menu -> Settings -> Device Certification.
iOS devices must be running iOS11 or higher.
What versions of device operating software does the DStv app support?
Android version 4.4 (KitKat) or higher. iOS version 12 or higher. We support Apple TV (Gen4), Google Certified Android TV devices, LG TVs running WebOS 3.0 and up, XBox, Samsung TVs running Tizen 2.3 upwards and Hisense Smart TVs from 2018 onwards.
What DStv channels and shows can I stream online?
It’s possible for any DStv customer to watch the same channels and shows they watch on their decoder at home, but on a device like a phone or a laptop.
For instance: DStv Premium subscribers will be able to see all the DStv Premium channels when they go to now.dstv.com or use the DStv app. Compact subscribers can view the channels that are part of the Compact bouquet, and so on. There is also an extensive catalogue of DStv movies and series available to stream online. Look out for box sets of popular shows and catch up on missed episodes.
How to sign up to stream DStv online
1. Go to now.dstv.com and Sign Up.
2. Fill in an email address, mobile number and choose a strong password.
3. Click Create an Account.
4. Fill in the DStv account holder’s ID number, DStv smartcard number or DStv customer number.
5. Check your inbox for a confirmation email.
6. Log in and start watching online at now.dstv.com or download the DStv Now app to your phone or tablet or smart TV.
Where to get the DStv streaming app
That’s easy! Go to the app store on the device you want to stream DStv on. Type ‘DStv’ into the search bar and hit 'Install'.
Download the DStv streaming app for iOS and Android.
How to reset your DStv streaming password
1. When logging in, click ‘reset password’ option or go here.
2 Enter the email address or mobile number you signed up with.
3. Click Reset.
4. You’ll receive a 4-digit OTP (one-time pin) either in your inbox or on your phone.
5. Enter the OTP.
6. Reset your password.
7. Log in at now.dstv.com or into your DStv app with your new password and continue watching.
